The JSPS US Alumni Association was formed on September 25, 2004 at the JSPS Washington Office. The Association is geographically divided in 5 regions: West, Midwest, Southwest, Northeast, and Southeast. These five regions are classified as shown in the map:
There is one representative per region. These 5 members form the Executive Committee.
